INTERESTING SITES IN MORELIA

Morelia has become the cultural epicenter of Mexico. Without a doubt, this is a city with an incomparable cultural offer. One of the greatest surprises is the light and sound show in the Cathedral, which starts every Saturday at 8:30 pm. The jewel that first began its construction in 1660 is illuminated in every contour with more than 660 lights creating something spectacular for the visitor.

The Callejón del Romance (the Romance Alley) is a small space filled with good vies located in the city’s downtown. The quarry and the years are quiet witnesses of the thousands or maybe millions of couples that have visited it. It is called like that because of the narrowness between doors and windows of the buildings that give the impression of wanting to kiss each other.

The city also has a zoo, which keeps more than 1600 specimens of 535 different animal species. It has a snake house and an aquarium that gives home to amphibians and reptiles. Specialists say that it is on
e of the best and most complete zoos in the country.

Among the historical buildings to visit we find the temple of the Merced, the Plaza de Armas or de los Mártires, the Palace of Justice, the birth home of Morelos, the old Alhóndiga, the temple of the Augustans, the Public Library, the Clavijero Palace, The Rose Conservatory (first music conservatory in America, the Government Palace (before Tridentine Seminar), among others.

And watching and living each instant this prodigious city, surely there is no time to completely satisfy our curiosity.
