In 2009, Tabasco, Campeche and Nayarit took the top three places among the 32 delegations of INFONAVIT, in meeting their goals and launching various programs because of the new institutional vision, which aims at not only extending credit, but also to improve quality of life of beneficiaries and their families.
The three delegations were characterized by giving more credit to 4 thousand workers earning 329 pesos a month (less than 2.6 minimum wages), according to the corporate strategy.
In addition, several projects of social sustainability were undertaken as the impulse to Green Mortgage, Digital Home, the creation of community centers, and the incorporation to the Municipal Competitiveness Program in Housing (PCMV), which seeks to apply the best practices for improving the urban environment of housing developments in the municipalities.
The state of Campeche, became the first to give 2 thousand 563 credits, exceeding the 16.8 percent target set; the 43.9 percent of the financings were green mortgages where the beneficiary and his family get substantial savings on gas, electricity and water.
The 61.8 percent of loans went to Campeche workers earning less than four minimum wages (6 thousand 664 pesos per month).
During the second half of 2009, the community center in Durango was opened in the neighborhood Fidel Velázquez, which will benefit 5 thousand inhabitants; and started building a new center in Ciudad del Carmen.
About 700 homes already have the infrastructure ready to offer affordable internet in the municipalities of Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.
Three municipalities were incorporated into the PCMV: Ciudad del Carmen, Champotón, and Escárcega.
Second place went to Tabasco, which exceeded its credit target in 6.1 percent in 2009, by granting loans for 4 thousand 706, where 50 percent was destined for the lower income beneficiaries.
While third place went to Nayarit, delegation which was highlighted by the launching of several projects including the inauguration of the first community center in the state.
