In 2010, the National Trust Fund Cost Housing (FONHAPO) will receive 1,817 million budget for Tu Casa program, 12 percent more resources exercised at the end of 2009, according to agency information.
With the budget that is expected to be received in 2010 for the program, FONHAPO anticipates to grant 88,435 subsidies.
At the end of 2009, preliminary figures show that the allotted budget for the program by FONHAPO was 1,620 million pesos, which gave 110,732 shares of housing subsidies, the institution said in a statement.
Among the actions that are executed with the Tu Casa program resources are buildings, improvements and extensions to low-income families.
On January 4 new rules took effect for the operation of this program of support for housing.
FONHAPO awards grants through two housing programs: Your House (Tu Casa), which consists of subsidies for those on lower income and Rural Housing, which support the poor living in rural and indigenous areas.
