AMPI    Tulum

By Guadalupe Durán

The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals AMPI Section Tulum will be in charge of Benjamín Beja Lezama.  Our national president, C.P. Héctor Obregón Serrano, was present at the swear in of the Board Committee and all of APMI Tulum new section.

Among the main objectives of AMPI Section Tulum, is to consolidate the Association, perform the First Touristic Real Estate Congress of Tulum, most likely to be held next September, add the real estate offer in an MLS (Multilisting System) and help promote the urban image of the municipality.

Lic. Haydee Pastrana attended in representation of the chief state executive, Félix Arturo González Canto. She recommended the real estate specialists to work in the construction of buildings and houses in the municipality without forgetting to preserve the natural environment of Tulum. If this should not be taken into consideration in a term no less than 15 years, this place could lose its principal concept which is ecology.

Benjamín Beja pointed out that AMPI is the only national association with international projection. “One of our main activities will be to promote the tourist destination attracting greater foreign exchange to the country”.

For the real estate sector, the municipality of Tulum represents a series of opportunities for consolidation and expansion, for it is foreseen that during this year, a growth on this area will be greater than 10 percent, making a comparison with rates obtained in 2009.

The beginning of the construction of the International Airport of the Mayan Riviera in Tulum will be a determining factor for the development.

AMPI Tulum was in favor of working for the municipal government to achieve an orderly growth of Tulum, in order to provide a better urban image for the national as well as for foreign tourists.

The Board Committee is formed by: Benjamín Beja  Lezama, President; José María Torquemada, Vice President; Karla Pérez de Henares, Treasurer; Alejandro Martínez, Secretary; David Kaplan, Board Member.
