Lawyer. Born in San Luis Potosí, made his professional studies at the Scientific Literary Institute of San Luis Potosí.  He joined from young the Mexican Liberal Party, opposing Porfirio Díaz. He was judge during Porfirio Díaz mandate.

With Camilo Arriaga  and others he founded the Liberal Club Ponciano Arriaga in 1899 against Porfirio Díaz. Banished from Mexico, he went to the United States where he stayed until 1904. Once he came back, he presented a land project together with Juan Sarabia. He joined the Zapatatista movement after the fall of Madero, and became the principal theoretician. In 1915, during the Convention of Aguascalientes, he proposed a land program contained in the Plan de Ayala.

Antonio Díaz founded the National Agrarian Party. He is the author of “The Agrarian Revolution of the South and Emiliano Zapata, his Leader “, published in1960. He participated in the Casa Del Obrero Mundial (The House of the World Worker), and was federal deputy on four occasions. He belonged to the Revolutionary Confederation of Independent Parties and held the candidacy of Antonio I. Villareal to the presidency of the Republic. He taught at school at the National Preparatory School, and in the Law School he held the subject of Agricultural Law.

He supported Álvaro Obregón and Juan Andrew Almazán. In 1959, he was decorated by the Deputy Chamber. He died in Mexico City.
