- The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) said that despite the housing market crisis has grown.
The president of AMPI Laguna, Natalia Gutierrez said the housing market in the region dodged the economic crisis and grew, but gave no more specific data.
According to Gutierrez, in times of crisis people look to invest in something that is more profitable than keeping their money in a bank, and therefore most chooses to buy land or homes.
Furthermore, the representative of the AMPI in La Laguna explained that the buildings have fallen in value, but long-term cost increases in the market.
"We have not felt the crisis and we had a lot of work in 2009. It's a good time to invest and grow the money to buy a property," he noted Natalia Gutierrez, published by El Siglo de Torreon.
