For Ms. Barbara Gaxoet
The NAR Convention of San Diego 2009 took place with the attendance of 22 thousand attendees from November 13th to the 16th resulting in a great event.
Our AMPI leaders, Mr. Pedro Trueba de Torres, National President and C.P. Héctor Obregón Serrano, Executive Vice President along with another 89 attendees from Mexico, represented the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios A.C..
The topics developed during the convention were very enriching and of great help in today´s real estate life.
During the event, work meetings were held where modifications and improvements to the NAR and AMPI agreement were discussed with Elena Carrillo, Global Marketing and Business Development Director.
Among the most important activities in which AMPI took place were the Board of Directors swearing held by Vicki Cox Golder, 2010 NAR President who is from the State of Arizona.
The table where AMPI representatives sat was shared with people from Poland and Bulgaria. The interaction during the event was interesting due to the exchange of opinions between the countries.
As every year, the ICREA meeting was held, where interesting issues were addressed such as: real estate prices in the international area, the ICREA activity facing the different associations it groups, real estate globalization, among other issues.
It is important to state that Mr. César Paredes Guerra, Associate from the Monterrey Section, represents AMPI in the Executive Committee of ICREA. We send our congratulations to Mr. Paredes in his appointment.
Another event where we were present during the convention in San Diego was the International Dinner held by its current President, Charles McMillan, where we shared with the Spanish committee.
We also participated in a meeting with CREA (Canadian Realestate Association) searching for a collaboration agreement that results by the continuous rise of Canadian migration to our country.
During the International Networking event, our Mexico table was very visited, due to the great interest that arouses México´s real estate.
Looking for better benefits for AMPI membership through agreements with other associations, we are eager to be part of future editions of this important real estate convention.
The following NAR Convention will be held in the city of New Orleans.
