This building is now known as La Capilla de Guadalupe, unknown who actually named it or why. The church depended on the Franciscan Monastery whose building was located in what are now the streets of Hidalgo and Heraclio Bernal. In the mid-nineteenth century the monastery was abandoned by the Franciscan order withdrawing trough south lands, location of their main monasteries, this was due, possibly, to the implementation of the Reform Laws of 1857 which arises among other Confiscation Act which allowed clergy buildings were sold to private.
The church had 4 very fine bells because its precious metal alloy, three of them are currently missing with unknown destination, leaving only one of them as a year of his taking as the 1821 cast. The roof of this temple collapsed to three times between 1650 and 1900, having been rebuilt in 1950.
In the revolutionary period the church became the revolutionary headquarters of the different currents as were Villa and Carranza.
In 1961 came from Guadalajara Archbishop Francisco Javier Nuño who consecrated for worship again restarting the job of these and other religious acts after its interior and exterior reconstruction that occurred the year 1972.
This church unites a tunnel that goes from its ladder to the Franciscan Convent, and represents an attraction for the place.
The second church built in Cosalá was the St. Ursula Parish, which was built around 1730 by the Jesus Company, whose convent was situated opposite the place Palace, in what is now Gabriel Leyva Solano Street.
At its north eastern corner, on the vestry, was placed in the eighteenth century a solar clock that remains to this day and which represents a must for all visitors.
In this church conducted the wedding of the daughter of Don Francisco Iriarte Conde in the year of 1827, reported that a road of bars of silver was laid from the house of the bride's father to the door of the church, having been very important event happened to be a fact that confuses reality with the legend.
Two religious orders were in place to build their monasteries, the Franciscans in Hidalgo and Heraclio Bernal and the Jesuits front of the place on the street of Leyva Solano corner with Cerrada de la Fuente. These two buildings are standing and inhabited. Jesuit Convent in the main entrance is carved in pink stone the shield of the Jesuit order laborious. This order was expelled from Cosala, June 24, 1767, by King of Spain Charles III, forced to abandon all Jesuit convents inhabited any part of Spanish territory from Upper California to the jungles of Paraguay. The Franciscans in turn left their convent in about 1860 after the enactment of the Reform Laws.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Party: Cosalá is characterized by a diversity of cultural events, which are the result of centuries-old history, the fruit of their miscegenation and the effort of its people to preserve the customs of their ancestors. One of these expressions is the spectacle, which can participate each year on the eve of the Virgin of Guadalupe, when thousands of candles are lit and placed on the sidewalks of the streets, in doors and windows to delimit and illuminate the passage of the virgin by the serpentine streets of the city.
To this fascinating event, continues the serenade to Guadalupe Virgin and a series of festivities that shows the faith and devotion of cosaltecos people.

Our Ghosts. One of the enigmas of Cosalá is the presence of ghosts in many of its ancient buildings. This is pointed out that the oral tradition through the centuries has been pointing out the places of the apparitions and the details of these.
The Woman in White. It is just one of those events that occurs from time immemorial in the Aragon Hernandez family house, located on Street Hidalgo, place where very often you can see a figure of a woman dressed in white, levitating, her hair loose as shaken by the wind and who shows on his face gaunt figure of death. Many have witnessed this occurrence but very few dare to enter the portals of the old mansion that housed in the past to one of the most powerful families of Cosalá, probably because nobody wants to have an early brush with death. Little is known about the origin of the woman in white, but by the antiquity of her legend it is supposed that it is the soul of one of the ancient inhabitants of the manor, who died without finding to date in his soul eternal rest
The Miner's Ghost. Another building in which it is customary to live with his ghosts, is the Campaña family house located on Guerrero Street. It is said that in the late seventeenth century there dwelt a miner whose flow of gold and silver were envied by people. This man liked in excess of the card game, which practiced every evening with other wealthy people, so that on one occasion had the good fortune and misfortune of winning a game which left in poverty to his opponents, which at such an affront decided to kill him, but not before subjecting it to an evil torture and immediately proceeded to bury him in the courtyard of the mysterious mansion and when they go to steal his fortune it was never found.
Thus, since then it is said and shown by the current residents, that are the wailing heard are constants, the gnashing of metal chains and the frequent opening of doors and windows as well as a different series of events through of which expresses the soul of mine who so far is looking for eternal rest. This fascinating encounter with the supernatural is possible to live in many of these farms that keep a great past and mystery.
> Gastronomy. Cosalteca gastronomy is rich and varied, highlighting the cane grindings with all its products, canning of fruits, bread, pies, custard, machaca, chorizo, cheese, tamales and regional dishes, which are a delight to the palate and can be tasted in restaurants and other places selling food.
> Crafts. There is great diversity of traditional crafts and great attraction for tourists. The most traditional crafts is represented by the harness, an activity that for centuries has been conducted and refined primarily in the neighboring community of Rodeo, whose artisans have already moved some of its local workshops located in the Historic Center, as it is possible to get and know by them the process of making saddles, belts, sandals, and a hole variety of leather and leather goods made by traditional methods. Also in the same community, there are domestic workshops where they are produced hammocks, bags and other fiber sisal, which is itself obtained by the villagers directly from the leaves of mezcal, so their knowledge is highly attractive for tourists.
