Falls by 70 percent Homes for Sale

According to the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals Metropolitan section, in the first half of the year casualties were up to 70 percent in home sales in the northern side of the city.
In the process of the sale caused many to stop their payments, but it was necessary to extend payment deadlines for not throwing in the operation, said Carlos Hernandez, president of AMPI metropolitan area.
He explained that some real estate devoted to the commercialization in residential areas had neither a sale in the first six months of 2009, while in the same period of past years had at least five cases.
Plus residential and tourism, which were the most important, we have not had any sales, the tourist projects were canceled while the economic situation improves, said Eduardo Fraind, commercial director at Manhattan Group.
Even the president of the Metropolitan AMPI confirmed that residential areas high and plus were the most affected by this low, especially in areas such as Bosques of las Lomas, Santa Fe, Tecamachalco, La Herradura and Lomas de Chapultepec.
